Privacy Policy

Neo01 operates an AI phone answering service for restaurants. Our service answers calls placed to a restaurant phone number, takes orders conversationally, and delivers those orders to the restaurant, including into the restaurant's point of sale system where a POS integration is in use.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when our service is used, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to the people whose information we handle.

This policy applies to two groups of people:

1. Restaurants that subscribe to Neo01 to have us answer their phone.
2. Callers who call a phone number that is answered by Neo01 on behalf of a restaurant.

When a caller dials a restaurant phone number that is answered by Neo01, we collect:

• The caller's phone number, as provided by the caller's telephone carrier.
• An audio recording of the call.
• A written transcript of the call, generated from that recording.
• The contents of any order placed during the call, including items, modifiers, quantities, and special instructions.
• The date, time, and duration of the call.

When a caller is sent an SMS message containing a payment link, we also collect:

• The caller's mobile phone number.
• The fact that an SMS message was sent and the time it was sent.
• Delivery status as reported by the telephone carrier.

We do not collect demographic information, location data, or any other personal information beyond what is described above.

We use call recordings and transcripts to:

• Take the caller's order accurately.
• Send the completed order to the restaurant, including delivering it into the restaurant's POS where a POS integration is in use.
• Improve the quality of the voice agent, including its accuracy on menu items and modifiers.

We use the caller's mobile phone number to send an SMS message that contains a payment link for the order placed on that call. We send one SMS per order. We do not send marketing messages.

By placing an order through a phone number answered by Neo01, a caller consents to receive an SMS message containing a payment link for that order. Message and data rates may apply, set by the caller's mobile carrier. Reply STOP to any SMS message from us to opt out of future SMS messages. Reply HELP for help. We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not use mobile phone numbers for any purpose other than completing the transaction the caller initiated.

We share the contents of an order with the restaurant the call was placed to, and with that restaurant's POS provider where a POS integration is in use. We use the following categories of service providers to operate the service:

• A telephony provider for call routing and SMS delivery.
• A provider that converts spoken audio to text, used to transcribe calls.
• A provider that synthesizes the voice agent's spoken responses.
• A large language model provider that powers the conversation.
• An automation provider used for internal workflow routing.

These providers process information solely to deliver our service to you and are bound by their own privacy commitments.

We do not sell personal information.

We retain call recordings, transcripts, and order details for twelve months after the call, after which they are deleted from our active systems.

Restaurants may request shorter retention windows by emailing us at the address below.

We use strong, widely adopted security practices to protect information in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections to our service providers and access controls on internal systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are a caller and you would like to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, email us at nico@gauchotech.com with the phone number you called from and the approximate date of the call. We will respond within thirty days. You may opt out of further SMS messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message we send.

Our service is not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated to subscribing restaurants directly.
